Sign-in Methods

DevLingo uses passwordless authentication:

Apple Sign In (macOS app)

Click Apple Sign In on first launch. Uses your Apple ID — fastest and most secure, no password needed.

Magic Link (email)

Choose Magic Link and enter your email. We send a login link — click it to sign in. No password required.

Hinweis

Your account data is protected by JWT tokens.

Managing Your Subscription

1. Open DevLingo
2. Click the DevLingo menu bar icon
3. Select Settings → Subscription
4. View your current plan, renewal date, and usage stats

Upgrade/Downgrade: Click Upgrade or Change Plan in subscription settings. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the end of the current period.

License Key users: Manage your subscription at dashboard.devglish.com.

Data Export

1. Settings → Data → Export
2. Choose CSV format
3. Exports all saved words, definitions, examples, and learning progress

Tipp

Export regularly as a backup. Anki and Notion integration is on the roadmap.

Delete Account

1. Settings → Account → Delete Account
2. Enter your email to confirm
3. All data is permanently deleted (word book, learning history, sync data)

Hinweis

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

Device Management

Multi-device: Sign in with the same Apple ID or email on multiple Macs. Word book and progress sync automatically.

License Key: Bound to your account, not device. Log in on any Mac to restore your license. Daily online validation with 3-day offline grace period.

Sync: Uses last-write-wins strategy. Offline edits sync automatically when reconnected.

Privacy

DevLingo requires:

• Accessibility permission: For global shortcut and text selection across apps
• Network access: For AI queries, cloud sync, and TTS
• Microphone (optional): Only if you want to record pronunciation

All data is stored in Cloudflare D1, isolated per user, never shared with third parties. See Privacy Policy.
